Lagavulin is a whiskey distillery in the place of the same name on the Scottish Isle of Islay. & Nbsp; As early as 1742, the Whiskey distillery was produced. However, the first legal distillery was only founded in 1816 by John Johnston. Located in the south of the island, in the immediate vicinity of Ardbeg and Laphroaig, produces Lagavulin like his neighbors smoky single malt whiskey. The name of the distillery means something like "The Mulde of the Mühle".
